Its all SHEER...

So, if last year was the season of the maxi skirt/dress, this year its all about the sheer maxi - the sheerer the better... well, that's my opinion! Some might say you have to be pretty brave to rock this look; but just the right amount of skin, teamed with some killer boots will definitely see you bringing back the sexy!

VJA sheer maxi skirts coming soon on our boutique at ASOS Marketplace.

Love this, so 70s..

Jewellery on my Mind...

Hi Lovelies,

I wish I could say I've been following Moptop Maven from the beginning, but I confess I've been late on the uptake. My sister has been raving about this blog for quite a while, she's obsessed with anything hair related... honestly I can't keep up with her. So I took a peek and now I'm a fully paid up Moptop stalker.  A great find on this site is Anita Grant's Rhassoul Deep Conditioning Spa Mud - my hair hasn't felt this soft in an age!

But what's really on my mind is the jewellery line Frank & Myrrh - it's ethnic/artisan inspired pieces are stunning; the understated pieces will be a wardrobe staple for years to come.

Oh, don't forget to enter our retro style Casio competition.

Amongst Cactcus Flowers Bloom

VintageJumbleAffair bids you a Vintage NEW YEAR!

It's been mentioned to us on quite a few occasions that we should  actually introduce ourselves, and let you into our own personal styles.  Over the next few weeks we'll be posting insider previews of our unique styles, our vintage obsessions, and diary lite insight into our fashion filled lives.

I'm going to start by sharing my recent super short holiday break to Lanzarote, I'm Abi and part of the VJA collective.

My aversion to sunbathing was well and truly behind me on my recent trip to Lanzarote..  I usually come out in heat rash, but on this trip i was soaking up the sun in full knowledge that in a few days I would only be seeing snow, snow, rain and maybe more snow! My stunning ocean view apartment was gorgeous and beyond luxurious, I didn't want to come back.. if only this could be real life!
I'm totally fell in love with the Island, the landscape is breathtaking. Lanzarote is made up of centuries old volcanic rocks were small towns, which are all painted white, have been carved out of huge volcanic mountains making them look almost like miniature toy towns.
Unfortunately no thrifting was done, I missed the Saturday market, my plane was 2hrs delayed.. beyond annoyed.  I'd Googled my arse  off looking for secondhand markets before the trip and planned to drop my bag off and head straight there. But what I may have lacked in vintage thrifting I more than made up by stocking up on the Lanzorate sun.
