J is for Jumpers.

Hey lovelies,

Although the weather has been unusually lovely for September, I'm not complaining, I do love autumn when the temperature is just cool enough to throw on a jumper or cardi over your favourite summer dress or wear those shorts you've been rocking all summer, teamed with a loose knit, chunky heeled boots and socks without getting those backward glances!

We hear that knitwear is a making a comeback this season, and has i brought back a load from my recent trip to Korea, we thought we'd play around with styling our oversized jumpers and cardi's  in a way that wouldn't make those summer pieces you love so much left sitting in your wardrobe until next year!

The shoot with Jody was super fun, we decided to make it more natural and less posey, so i got her jumping around, dancing, talking to strangers and actually i think the pictures came out better?! What do you think?
As well as knitwear, we shoot quite a few maxi dresses that I'll be posting soon, but I'll be uploading the items above this week on our ASOS Marketplace store - HERE.

We would love to hear what you thing of the pictures. Oh, one last thing, we are looking for a new model to work alongside Jody, check out our facebook for more info.

Happy thrifting

MFW: Prada S/S 2012

Personally I’ve never been fond of Prada, but there 2012 S/S collection has made me a convert. The pieces expressed femininity, simplicity and beauty and didn't disappoint in the slightest. Focusing on colours  of candy this feature dominated the catwalk especially on the dresses. And dont they look good to eat? The skirts, clutch bags and shoes added a masculine feature to the collection with the flame car motif imprinted on the collection. The softness and the structure on the pieces are gorgeous. This has to be my favourite collection so far.

LFW: We Street Heart for Print, Pattern, Colour Mash up.

London Fashion Week saw a myriad of mismatch prints and patterns on the streets of London. There were floral/ abstract/geometric print mash ups, acid washed jeans teemed with rainbow tie dyed bomber jackets, coloured sequins sitting comfortably with vibrant floral, to tartan with strips combos... All so wrong but yet so inconceivably right!  I do go insane for colour, and although i couldn't say I’m the kind of girl that can brave the collage of loud colour prints and patterns together, i do admire the ladies and gentlemen who do. It takes a kind of laissez faire confidence to carry these looks off, and they do it oh so well... don't you think?

Jody and I will be doing a mini shoot on Friday. We’ll be shooting some of the knitwear I sourced from S.Korea and a few other things too, so do check back on the blog for a sneak peak before I upload them on our ASOS Marketplace store, otherwise you can check in store HERE.

Hi lovelies

London Fashion week S/S 2012 is in full swing and I’ve just been catching up on the shows. I have to say the Sass and Bide collection is definitely the stand out collection for me so far.  Colour is something that always gets my heart racing, and their use of neon brights captured my attention from the first model. Also, the embellished tribal beading and splashes of metallic with feminine and elegant silhouettes made me think i should start playing the lottery pronto!

Highs and Lows from South Korea!

Hi lovelies,

As you know from my previous post I was in Daegu, South Korea for the World Athletics Championships, and i got back last week.   I’m not sure if any of you are really interested in athletics, so I won’t bore you with the highs (Great Britain winning 7 medals), and the lows (Usain Bolt's false start and the other numerous disqualifications), and the fact that I didn't actually get to compete as I wasn't selected for the final relay quartet... as you can imagine I was quite depressed!
I've been to 2 previous World Championships and I have to say this one was the most surreal competitions I've ever been too, but again, I won't bore you!
Before going to Daegu, I was at the preparation holding camp in a city called Ulsan. I have to say I was pretty impressed with Ulsan, probably for all the wrong reasons - the shopping was amazing, not only does the exchange rate encourage you to go crazy as everything is super CHEAP, but the Ulsan girls and boys were uber stylish and so chic.  I couldn’t step into a shop without finding at least 10 things I wanted to buy. I bought some gorgeous dusty pink shoes (pic below), a dress and a bag all for under £50… that would never happen at home!!
Anyone who knows me will attest to the fact that sourcing vintage stock for our ASOS Marketplace store is never far from my mind, actually its become rather an obsession no matter where I am in the world!  Although I found it impossible to find any vintage stores in Ulsan, I had no such problems in Daegu… it's rife with vintage and second hand stores, and I’ve been able to stock up on a selection of quirky and super cute knits for our ASOS Marketplace store, and I couldn't resist a selection of 80’s acid wash denim shorts that were up for grabs. They need to be seen to be believed - very cool.
My gorgeous dusty pink shoes and the view from our hotel in Ulsan
Giggling girls of Daegu, all with the same hair cut!
I wished I'd taken more phones of the stylish girls of South Korea
I found way too many gorgeous fur coats.
Just an idea of how vast this vintage store is.
Martin Ronney, Jeanette Kwakye and Jessica Ennis.
Marlon Devonish remincing back to days before hair loss!
Myself and the relays girls - Montell and Asha
Over-exposed pics of Daegu stadium.
My gorgeous roomie Jeanette Kwakye and the equally stunning Perri Shakes-Drayton
I can't imagine Louise Hazel was thinking...
The giant that is Chris Tomlinson and Miss Jeanette Kwakye aka the dwarf!

Oh, do venture to our ASOS Marketplace store, - Here;  I’ve uploaded some super sexy pencil skirts and secretary style blouses.
Happy thrifting
